We are a family business working in the Sevenoaks area of Kent in the United Kingdom.
We specialise in providing high quality work in 3 main areas:
- Upholstery and Reupholstery of All Types of Furnishings
- Curtain Making
- Blind Supply
We mainly cater for the domestic marketplace, which can vary from a single dinning chair in a one bedroomed flat to curtains for all the rooms in a grade 1 listed Mansion.
We do undertake small amounts of commercial work for public houses and small businesses.

We have our own pattern book showroom next door to our workshops and all our customers are welcome to visit and see work being undertaken. We handle all our own work, in our own workshops using our team of dedicated craftsmen and craftswomen.
About Us
The business was started by Mr Allan Upsher, who has been in the trade most of his working life. Allan has now retired but still pops in. We continue to be a family business with son Colin and daughter in law Carol who both joined soon after Allan first set up the business.
Allan started the business in October 1976 in Johnsons Yard in Seal Village before moving to its present site in Sevenoaks. Our workforce consists of one upholsterer, two curtain makers and Colin who does the estimating and fitting. All the staff have been here since they left school.
Chris is our head curtain maker. She was trained by Jo, our previous curtain maker.
Last but not least, Tony, who is our main upholsterer works in the upholstery workshop. He has been in the upholstery business since he left school, with a great deal of experience in this specialised trade.
